한양대학교 국제학부는 국제화 시대를 지향하고 선도해 나갈 인재를 교육하고 양성하는 데 목적을 두고 있습니다.
국가간 노동, 자본, 상품, 정보의 자유로운 이동이 가속화되면서 국제사회는 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 모든 면에서 더욱 가까워지고 있습니다. 이로 인해 국제관계·외교, 국제경제, 글로벌 기후환경변화 등 인류공동체가 함께 고민해야 할 사회적 이슈와 관심 또한 더욱 부각되고 있습니다. 이 같은 글로벌 시대의 복잡하고 다양한 사회적 이슈들을 잘 이해하고 앞으로 전개될 국제사회 변화에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해서는 사회과학에 대한 전반적 지식과 국제학관련 전문지식을 쌓는 것이 더욱 중요해지고 있습니다.

이에 한양대 국제학부는 다음과 같은 교육목표를 가지고 미래형 인재양성에 더욱 매진하고자 합니다.
첫째, 저희 국제학부는 국제학, 정치학, 경제학, 경영학, 법학 등 학제간 접근(Interdisciplinary studies)을 통해 더 나은 국제사회 모델을 제시할 수 있는 지식과 역량을 함양하는 데 교육 목표를 두고 있습니다. 국제정세에 대한 최신정보를 수집하고 국가간 역학관계, 다국적 기업, 국제기구, NGO 등의 활동현황, 상호작용, 미래전략 및 영향력을 실증적, 규범적으로 분석할 수 있는 지식을 전달하는 데 힘을 모으고 있습니다.
둘째, 국제사회의 리더로서 갖추어야 할 비판적이고 창의적인 사고력, 영어소통능력, 계획을 설계하고 실행할 수 있는 실무역량, 비전을 제시하고 이끌어 나갈 리더십을 갖춘 미래형 인재를 양성하고자 힘쓰고 있습니다.

한양대 국제학부는 세계화의 다양한 현상을 이해하고 국제사회의 바람직한 미래를 제시하는데 필요한 지식과 경험을 전달하여 국제사회에 기여할 수 있는 리더를 양성하는 데 최선을 다 하고 있습니다. 국제기구, 정부기관, 다국적 기업의 일원으로 활동하며 글로벌시대의 리더가 되고자 하는 인재들의 많은 관심을 부탁 드립니다.

At Hanyang University’s School of International Studies (SIS), our mission is to educate and nurture the next generation of leaders who will thrive in and shape the globalized world. As the free movement of labor, capital, goods, and information between countries continues to accelerate, the international community is becoming increasingly interconnected in every aspect—political, economic, social, and cultural. This growing interdependence has brought global issues, such as international relations, diplomacy, global economics, and climate change, to the forefront, requiring collaborative solutions and shared responsibility. To navigate these complex global challenges and proactively address future changes in international society, it is more important than ever to develop a strong foundation in the social sciences, along with specialized expertise in international studies.

With these aims in mind, the SIS at Hanyang University is dedicated to fostering future-ready talent through the following educational goals:
First, we emphasize an interdisciplinary approach that combines international studies, political science, economics, business, and law. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to propose new models for global society. We focus on helping students understand the latest developments in international affairs and analyze the relationships between nations, multinational corporations, international organizations, and NGOs, while examining their interactions, strategies, and influence both empirically and normatively.
Second, we aim to cultivate future leaders who possess critical and creative thinking, effective communication skills in English, practical abilities to design and implement plans, and the leadership qualities needed to envision and guide the future.
