We warmly invite students studying abroad to our HOPE(=Hanyang Online Pre-Exchange) Program, a unique opportunity to explore what it’s like to study at Hanyang University!

It is run independently of the exchange program and does not require nomination or affect existing exchange quotas. Any interested student enrolled in a university is welcome to participate freely.

As one of Korea’s leading institutions in higher education, Hanyang is committed to sharing high-quality learning experiences with students worldwide. We hope this opportunity will serve as a gateway for students to connect with Hanyang – and perhaps join us for an exchange or visiting or regular summer/winter school program student in the future!

📌 Program Overview:

• Offered 4 times a year
  • Spring/Fall (Regular Semeseter): 16 weeks
  • Summer/Winter (Vacation): 2~4 weeks
• Each course is a 3 HYU credit course (45 contact hours) / Up to 2 courses(6 credits) per semester
• Courses are taught in English & pre-recorded / Each course instructed by a designated professor
• No program fee at all
• Official Transcript(PDF) issued upon the completion

📌 Eligibility:

• Students abroad who are enrolled in a university or graduate school during the program period
• Certificate of Enrollment or Academic Transcript in English required(issued within the past 6 months).

How to Apply? Simply Submit Online Application

Required Documents

1. A Copy of your passport (or national ID card)
   • Must be able to identify your name, nationality, birthdate
   • Student ID card, Driver's License cannot be accepted as a substitute
2. A Certificate of Enrollment (or Academic Transcript) issued from your home university
   • Must be an official certificate with a university stamp/logo stating that you are currently enrolled in your home institution
   • The certificate must be in English, must be issued within 6 months

❓Credit transfer is entirely subject to approval by your home university. Before participating in the program, we recommend consulting your home university coordinator and checking in advance.
