① Career exploration for high schoolers

Through partnerships with local governments, this program provides high school students, who are at an important juncture in choosing their careers, with the opportunity to build their dreams of becoming scientists and engineers. It also enables them to explore science- and engineering-related majors in various fields. The program consists of lectures given by experts from each field and Hands-on experiment experiences, the latter of which were independently developed by the center.

② The Mobile Chemistry Museum

Having started in 2006, which was the International Year of Chemistry, the Discovery Center for Science and Technology for Young Scientists at Hanyang University has since been running the Mobile Chemistry Museum, which informs the public of the importance of chemistry and helps them develop an interest in and a correct understanding of chemistry through the presentation of a number of chemistry elements, from basic chemistry principles to applications of chemistry in everyday life and cutting-edge technology, under various themes including the “development of chemistry,” “chemistry in movies,” and “chemistry and 6T”.

③ Regional science classes

In collaboration with local governments such as those in Jung-gu, Geumcheon-gu, and Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, the center runs “Hands-on experiment experiences” with an aim to effectively convey the importance of science to local youths by stimulating their interest in science and by helping them understand in a natural manner that the scientific principles they learn in school can be applied in real life and to cutting-edge engineering technology.
